After colliding with the Kwabenakwa Police Barrier in the Obuasi Municipality of the Ashanti region, the Jita school bus bearing the registration number GN 6920-13 left three police officers in critical condition.
After the driver lost control of the steering, the school bus carrying students from nearby communities crashed into the Kwabenakwa police barrier and crushed the officers.

His brakes are said to have failed.
According to the report, the on-duty police were looking over a long vehicle that was full of canoes.
One of the three police officers suffered a broken jaw, while the other two were paralyzed. On the other hand, the bus driver was also hurt.
The victims received intensive care at the SDA Hospital in Obuasi.
