Currently, three young men are on the run after they were captured stealing a burial at the Ashanti Region cemetery of Mempasem.
For ritualistic reasons, the three men went to a cemetery and robbed a grave. They are called “sakawa boys” (money ritualists).
Three men were able to retrieve the corpse from his coffin after digging up the grave, Kwabena Adjei Adomarakwa told a local radio station.

In addition to his left hand, the three had also managed to take other portions of his body.
An eyewitness claims to have witnessed them in action, however they evaded capture and left with the deceased left hand.
