During a separate operation, a notorious thief who stole from the Sawla District police commander’s room was apprehended.
On December 18, Kwabena John, the thief, broke into the commander’s room while he was at work to steal his flat-screen television.
It is thought that the suspect used the quiet of the police bungalow to raid the house.
The 37-year-old man was caught red-handedly stealing computers from the district D/A JHS, resulting in his arrest at Sawla.

After his operation in the school, the suspect Kwabena, according to reports, went on a raid of another nearby house and stole a flat-screen TV.
As he attempted to flee the scene, residents gave him a chase.
The suspect admitted, among other offenses, stealing from the police commander’s bungalow.
He has since been turned over to Sawla police for additional investigation.
Meanwhile, the suspect’s arraignment is scheduled for Friday, according to the district police command.
