On the internet, a video of a pastor berating members of his church for offering 100 naira, or Ghc2.70p, has been circulated.
In the brief video, the clergyman, furious that his members gave such a small amount as an offering, stated that this was one of the reasons why they have remained poor.
He stated that it is shameful that they are giving the Almighty N100 and N20 when the church purchases 20 liters of fuel for each service.

He claims that his members will continue to be poor if they continue to give small offerings, even though guests come and give God abundant offerings and receive large offerings.
They were scolded by the pastor, who spoke in Igbo, for not giving the Most High a fair amount of money.
“Shame to you that came to give God N100,” he said. Because of this, members who give little money will remain poor, while members who give a lot of money here will receive blessings.
“You come and give God N100 and those of you who also give N20, and you stand up majestically.”
