At Asafo, the Ashanti Regional Capital of Kumasi, a man in his mid-30s has reportedly been beaten to death for attempting to steal a Grand Bird bus.
It is believed that the incident took place at dawn on March 8, 2023.
According to reports, the deceased entered the V.I.P. Transport Company terminal around 4 a.m., started the bus in question, and attempted to drive away in a Grand Bird bus with registration number GE 2304-10.

Upon noticing, the bus’s driver’s assistant followed the suspect in a tricycle with the assistance of some members of the public.
The deceased made the decision to get off the moving bus at one point, but the mob caught him and beat him hard.
Before coming to a stop, the still-moving abandoned bus is said to have damaged a nearby vehicle.
