According to a report, organizations associated with Elon Musk and his businesses are purchasing thousands of acres of land in Texas to establish a town where the billionaire’s employees will live and work.
According to the report, at least 3,500 acres of land near Austin have been purchased for Elon Musk’s plans for a town called Snailbrook.
According to the report, Elon Musk wants employees at his companies Boring Co., Tesla, and SpaceX “to be able to live in new homes with below-market rents,” citing county deeds and other land records as well as internal company communications.
Near Austin, each company has major production facilities.

The arrangement incorporates constructing in excess of 100 homes, as well as neighborhood highlights, for example, a pool and outside sports region, the report said.
Prior, in 2020 Elon Musk reported that he would move Tesla’s base camp and his own home from California to Texas. SpaceX and Boring Co. also have manufacturing facilities in Texas, and Tesla opened a new Gigafactory manufacturing facility in Austin in 2022.
Additionally, the report stated that Elon Musk’s team had discussed incorporating the town into Bastrop County, but the county stated that it had not received an incorporation application.
