Yaw Annor, Ghana’s best scorer, has moved nationalities to Togo.
The former Ashanti Gold talisman will make his Togolese debut this month.
Paulo Duarte has invited the Ghana Premier League’s top scorer for friendlies against Cote d’Ivoire and Equatorial Guinea. Yaw Annor is qualified to play for Ghana and Togo.
The winger opted to swap nationalities because he saw his Black Stars possibilities as restricted.
Togo will play Cote d’Ivoire in Paris on September 24, 2022, then Equatorial Guinea in Casablanca three days later.
Yaw Annor was Ghana’s leading scorer last season with 22 goals in 30 games.
His goal-scoring led to eight man-of-the-match honors. The highly-rated player has signed a five-year, $200,000 contract with Egyptian team Ismaily SC.
Annor joins Kennedy Boateng, Emmanuel Hackman, and Samuel Asamoah in switching to Togo.
