The public is being advised not to consume the whale carcass that washed up on the shores of Tema in the Greater Accra Region by the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA).
To address the safety concerns, the Authority is working with Agencies within the National Food Safety Emergency Response Plan (FoSERP).
The FDA claims that the situation has been brought under control and is being monitored to ensure that no one can access the carcass while plans are being made to dispose of it safely.
