The date for the online release of the 2022 BECE results for School and Private Candidates, which had been scheduled for January 19, 2023, has been extended to January 21, 2023.
Kwasi Kwarteng, the Ministry of Education’s spokesperson, stated that the West African Examinations Council has set January 19, 2023, as the deadline for releasing the BECE results.
The MoE Public Relations Officer stated, “God willing, within the 19th to 21st of January 2023, we are hopefully expecting the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) to release the results of the 2022 Basic Education Certificate Examination.”
The Ghana Education Service has opened the https://csspsverify.com portal for students who took the 32nd edition of the national examination to verify and confirm their school selection choices ahead of the BECE results’ release.
The Ghana Education Service’s management has stated that the second cycle school verification and confirmation process will conclude on January 22, 2023, with no further extensions.

- Dial the USSD shortcode 89988# on your mobile phone
- Select option 1 to view choice file
- Enter your index number (BECE)
- Enter the 4-digit token number and send
After successfully completing the process, an SMS will be sent to the mobile phone to confirm your selected second-cycle schools.
